2026 World Menstrual Hygiene Day is a unique day, that should be recognized by all because of the alarming rate of Period Poverty amongst our young girls in rural areas of Nigeria who cannot afford the rising cost of sanitary pad for their menstrual flow. 

This is why our charity organisation, Dr Chidubem Onochie Keshi Foundation whose mission includes improving the lives of the girl child, women and youths has already procured 1000 Sanitary pads for donation to our teenage secondary school girls in the rural communities of Aniocha North Local Government Area. 

This donation, we believe is a very important first step as we add our voice to this urgent call to end Period poverty for the girl child in Nigeria. Together we can.
